“Whispers” Crown Journal
The “Whispers” Collection is an act of reverence to the incorporeal guardians of a person, who want to see him or her with a healthy body and soul, stepping boldly into the world and sure in his or her way.
The Crown Journal of the Collection is the solid representation of this idea. With a volume of 760 pages, it stands firmly on its solid silver corners and leather woven endbands.
In contrast, the journal pairs are consisted of two small notebooks filled with 380 pages smooth cream colored paper, excellent for writing with fountain pens or pencils. The dimensions of each journal are 15×10.5 cm or 5.9×4.1 inches.
The book body is sewn with premium linen thread on 3 hemp cords, laced on double millboard covers, decorated with colorful woven endbands with cotton thread and four glass beads each.
Lastly, both journals are bound in the same vegetable tanned goatskin, one left more rugged and tooled in blind and the other lacquered, gilded with 23k gold leaf and set with semi-precious stones.
The Crown Journal combines the features, found in the pairs of the Collection and represents them with a most steadfast manner.
It is sprinkled in blue, yellow and brown on its edges, the same pattern can be found on its endpapers as well. The endbands are firmly woven around a hemp core by using leather strips that go underneath the core and through the leather on the spine, constructing a most sturdy shield on its upper and lower spine regions.
It is sewn tightly on 3 cords, laced on double millboard covers and bound in vegetable tanned kangaroo leather, darkened and sprinkled lightly. To compliment its sturdy build, solid silver engraved corners with a fineness of 950 are attached to both covers.
Richly decorated in blind, the journal is inscribed with a whisper in Bulgarian, reminding us the cycles of life, thus completing and taking in its embrace the whole spirit of the Collection. It reads directly:
